Current research activities
Katherine Chen: Nickel titanium shape memore alloys; outreach to pre-college audiences; design of learning experiences to cultivate life-long learning.

Trevor Harding: degradation of biomedical materials; fatigue and wear; diamond-like carbon coatings; design of learning experiences to develop ethical and moral development of engineering students

Blair London: Friction stir processing and welding; design of learning experiences for high performance; materials selection for the life cycle.

Paul Rainey: Manufacturing issues.

Richard Savage: Micro systems technology/ microelectro mechanical devices; integrating design into the curriculum; design of learning experiences that develop professional attributes of the engineer.
